Brief Report on WONCA Asia Pacific Regional Conference Bali

The first face-to-face WONCA Asia Pacific Regional Conference was held in Bali from December 5 to 7, 2022 since COVID-19 pandemic started. Dr Mya Win Hnit, a faculty of Myanmar Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) attended the WONCA APR Bali Conference as the only delegate from Myanmar.
Dr Mya was invited by the host organizing committee as a speaker for the young doctors movement preconference session on Dec 5. During the session, he presented how Family Medicine was being developed by MAFP, GP Society (GPS-MMA) and other partner organizations in Myanmar. Dr Mya also attended the WONCA APR Council meeting to represent Myanmar GP Society. On Dec 6, Dr Mya participated in the symposium on “Public-private partnership for Universal Health Coverage (UHC)” as a speaker.
On Dec 7, Dr Mya joined the workshop on APR Family Medicine research development as the head of the Rajakumar movement research group. With the generous support of the Shin Kong Life Foundation, Manan Trust, Shin Kong Bank, and the Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital, Dr Mya Win Hnit had a productive trip with full of invaluable professional experiences, which he can apply in the future activities of MAFP related to Family Medicine education and research development.
