The General Practitioners’ Society and MAFP have jointly initiated a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program in 15 townships across Myanmar. A total of 330 candidates participated in online didactics over a 13 week period. TOF graduates assisted by delivering didactics on Family Medicine-oriented approaches to diagnosing and treating non-communicable diseases. The CPD program is linked to a pilot project for offering credit points to participants that will allow them to achieve long term professional accreditation to be granted by the Myanmar Medical Association and the Myanmar Medical Council.
