The Patient Empowerment Program- August 2021
23/12/2021 MAFP Office and Training Clinics
Myanmar Academy of Family Physicians launched another project named as “the Patient Empowerment program”. The objective of this project is to hasten the readiness of the patients for more participatory clinical management. Which will be leading to effective shared-decision making processes between doctors and patients.
As the first activity under this program, MAFP created and published the Home Blood Pressure Monitoring Logbook and the Self-Monitoring of Blood Glucose Logbook. These logbooks were distributed for free to the community-based clinics where the GPs are using them as the efficient tools in their practice management.
