Oxygen Concentrators Donated to MAFP Teaching Clinics

Shin Kong Life Foundation, Taiwan, donated 10-Liter Oxygen concentrators to MAFP to be used in treating COVID-19 patients. This donation was initiated and facilitated by the Boston University Global Health Collaborative.
As Myanmar is currently overwhelmed by the COVID-19 pandemic, many people are being treated in their own homes by community general practitioners. The oxygen concentrators have been distributed to 10 MAFP training clinics so that our doctors may quickly and efficiently provide emergency life-saving care for their patients. Many of the patients will require oxygen therapy as part of home-based COVID pneumonia care, and the MAFP teachers will lend the concentrators free of charge to those families who cannot otherwise access oxygen.
